Pee-Wee Jamboree Rules
Jamboree Rules:
- The Randolph Jamboree is for 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade teams only. All Players must be properly equipped (pads, gloves, helmet, mouth guard, ect).
- Each team must check-in at the registration desk at least 30 minutes before their first game. There is a welcome pack/gift for each team, so be sure to check-in!
- MANDATORY MEETING at the snack bar for all head coaches (or a representative for each team) as follows:
- 8:00 AM on SATURDAY for all 1st & 2nd grade teams.
- 8:00 AM on SUNDAY for all 3rd grade teams.
- ***We will review the rules of play at this time. Do not miss this meeting please!
- Spectators must remain in designated and marked areas. Spectators are not allowed on the player’s side of the field.
- Tents are allowed but must remain in the designated tent area outside the fence.
- Several excellent food trucks plus the snack bar will be open during the jamboree.
- No food is allowed on or by the fields. Only water (no colored beverages) are allowed on the turf field. No gum on the turf.
- No Grills. No pets. No alcohol. No smoking near the fields.
- Commemorative Jamboree merchandise (with team names) will be available for sale at the tent near the snack bar.
- No unauthorized vendors of any kind without specific approval.
- The address for Freedom Park is: 630 Millbrook Avenue, Randolph, NJ 07869
- Park in designated parking areas. If paved lot is full, there is additional parking across Millbrook Avenue in the grass “overflow” lot.
- Please keep your team area clean and pick up any bottles or trash by your bench before leaving the field (thanks)!
- There will be a drop-off area near the fields if you have heavy equipment, tents, coolers, ect. Please drop off quickly and then move to an approved parking spot.
- In the event of bad weather, check the home page of our website, www.randolphlax.org, for status. A decision and posting will be made by 7:00 AM the day of the event.
Game Rules:
- Games will follow the 2019 NJJLL league published rules which can be found at www.njlacrosse.com. League rules for 3rd grade will be used for all divisions (1st, 2nd & 3rd grade). Please make sure you are familiar with these rules.
- Clarification of rules will be addressed at the mandatory coaches meeting (8:00 am for 1st & 2nd grade teams; 1:00 pm for 3rd grade teams)
- All games are 7 v 7 on a smaller than regulation field (6 field players plus goalie).
- Be sure you have a goalie and that he is properly equipped.
- 1st & 2nd grade games will have coaches on the field to coach and officiate. 3rd grade games will have paid officials with coaches remaining on their sideline.
- Each game will consist of two 12-minute running time halves with a 3-minute halftime. There are no time-outs allowed.
- Play will start and end as indicated by a central clock and horn (1 blast to start play, 1 blast to end play)
- Substitutions must be made on the fly or after a goal (i.e. No horn for substitutions).
- At the end of a game, please line up and shake hands quickly, and then get off the field so the next game can start on time. there is 3 minutes between games.
- Player initiating foul shall be replaced (no man-up, man-down)
- Players should be encouraged to play the ball. Body checking is not allowed.
- Each team should put 2-3 balls on one end line at the start of the game. At the end of the game you can retrieve whatever balls you provided.
- Honor the game of lacrosse by insisting on exceptional sportsmanship from players, coaches and spectators!!!
